斯莫利的儿子, 泰Field-Smalley, committed suicide at age 11 after being suspended from school for retaliating against a bully who had bullied him for two years. 代表沉默 was founded in 2010 by a group of Oklahoma high school students after they heard Ty’s story. 从那时起, Kirk and Laura Smalley have taken their message to more than 1,000 schools and spoken to more than 1,000,000个孩子.
